This helps ease away the natural “first use stickiness” that comes with fresh, high-quality stamps. Some artists also like to gently sand the surface with fine sandpaper (just a whisper of a touch ✨). This is perfectly normal, and a sign of stamps that will serve you beautifully for a long time.

For the clearest impressions, I recommend using VersaFine ink—it brings out all the delicate details.
